Welcome to my Christian pages. Above you will see links to the different pages. Below you will see a bit about my Christian Walk and what I believe. Let me share with you a bit about myself and what I believe.
I started going to church at age three. I was Baptist. I was very strict about my beliefs, accepting Christ when I was seven and again recommitting myself at 15. I refused to date people who weren't Christians and had different beliefs, feeling this wasn't pleasing to God. And this paid off. When so many were getting divorced or marrying in haste the first person they dated, God brought just the right man across my path (You can see more on my biography page). He was Methodist, which is very similar to Baptists beliefs. I felt we could survive and our children would as well. My husband and I discussed this at length before we married, as a matter of fact. However, my husband and I weren't happy with either church we went to and
ended up in different denomination altogether not long after we married! Our children have been raised in church and I am a stay at home mom, writing in order to be able to be with my children. I even dropped out of college, my belief was so strong that I should be at home with my children. I haven't regretted it once--okay, well, there were times I wondered if I had done he right thing and just what was my life all about. Who doesn't when you marry at nineteen years old! But, I can say, twenty years later, still serving God, my 19 and 16 year old serving God, that I made the right decision. And I had my husband supporting me every step of the way. (My daughter is getting ready to go to missionary school next August, as a matter of fact). Being a Christian in today's world can be both good and bad ... well not bad, but certainly trying! Especially if you are conservative evangelical etc. rather than liberal Christian (Is there really such a thing? I have my doubts--but liberal Christians would say I was wrong!).
I believe the Bible is the Inspired (God-Breathed) word of God. I believe it is infallible. I don't think there are mistakes or misunderstandings. I believe, if you search the scripture, asking God, you will see that this Bible fits together in a spiritual way that no other book can come close to attaining. I believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Three in one or Trinity. This is not three Gods, but one manifest in three. You want more understanding of that? Ask God after the Rapture. I believe that it is only through the blood and the blood
only, that a person is saved. What blood? Jesus Christ, who came to earth, God
incarnate, to bridge the gap between man and God. He was God in flesh, come to
create a way for us to have forgiveness and come back to God. You see, all are sinners. We've all done wrong things. The Bible tells us plainly that sin separates us from God. We have to pay for that sin (Watch Lion With and the Wardrobe for a great allegory on this). We have no sacrifice we can give to atone for ourselves. Animals won't do it. Someone has to pay the price for what we did. Jesus came, living the perfect life, and became that sacrifice by dying on the cross. He rose again. He conquered death, hell and the grave by
not sinning and being that perfect sacrifice and ascended to God where He is now
our High Priest, interceding for us with God. It's because of His sacrifice that we, once we realize we are sinners and hopelessly lost from the will of God, can go to God and say, "Forgive me. Your son died for me. He shed his blood. Come into my heart and help me live right." It's more than living right. If you can look at God and not be grateful for what he did, question your salvation. It's through faith and faith only that a person is saved. The Bible tells us in Ephesians no works we do can save us, only faith in Christ. If works could save us, Saul of Tarsus would have been saved. But he had to fall blind before he could see it was Jesus Christ who saved. I believe in the rapture, a quick snatching away. However, I don't demand anyone else believe this (write me if you want more info) because really, the ONLY things I insist other Christians believe are that the Bible is infallible and that Salvation comes only through Christ. I also believe that God is the same as he was yesterday and will be tomorrow. If he healed then, he will now. If he spoke to people in visions, he will now. If he sent angels back then to people unaware, he just might very well do that now as well!
Any questions about what I believe? I wouldn't mind discussing it in the least. I won't argue or be nasty. If that's in your mind, don't waste your time writing. But I will talk. Little children, love one another because this is of God...that is my motto that I try to stick by. Blessings!
